Nellie E. Matlock
1929-2010
LORAINE -- Nellie E. Matlock, age 80, passed away on January 29, 2010.  Family visitation was held Sunday, January 31, 2010.  Funeral service was held on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Christian Temple in Colorado City. Burial followed in the Dorn Chapel Cemetery with Rev. William Sanders officiating.  Services are under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Nellie was born on December 24, 1929 in Colorado City to Marvin and Nettie Iglehart Cherry.  She was a long time resident of Loraine and a member of Christian Temple and a graduated from Westbrook High School in 1947.

Nellie leaves behind her daughters, Elaine Dearmond of Colorado City, Becky Sanders and husband, William of Killeen and Wretha Speer of Loraine; son, Audie Matlock and wife, Mary of Colorado City; 17 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren; sister, Edith Matlock and husband, Matt of Colorado City.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee A. Matlock; son, Randy L. Matlock; sisters, Dee Lelek and Bessie Marcie Hubbard.

Juanice Wilkinson
1924-2010
BEDFORD – Juanice Faulkenberry Taylor Wilkinson, born in Mitchell County on January 13, 1924, went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2010, at the age of 86. She resided in Kermit and Monahans prior to her move to Bedford in 1984, where she lived with her daughter until the time of her death.

She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Lisenbee of Bedford; two brothers, Tom Faulkenberry of Midland and Morris Faulkenberry of Olympia, Washington; two grandchildren, Katherine Lisenbee Ring of Keller and Gary Lisenbee and wife, Lisa of Fort Worth; four great-grandchildren, Dylan, Nicholas, Alyssa and Evan; numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Faulkenberry; sister, Helen Griffith; and two spouses, Freedom Taylor and Clarence (Slats) Wilkinson.

Services were held at 2 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Chapel in Sweetwater on Satuday, January 30. Burial followed in Loraine Cemetery.
