Lady Bulldogs win over Ira

It was a matchup of the Bulldogs on Tuesday, January 19, as the Loraine Bulldogs varsity basketball teams came up against the Ira Bulldogs in Loraine.

The Loraine Lady Bulldogs pulled off a win against Ira, 63-48. Ariel Bailey led the team offensively, scoring over a third of her team’s points with 22. Catelyn Johnston and Breanna Williams each had double digits, scoring 15 and 10 respectively.
Michelle Sanchez added 8 for Loraine and Raven Limones scored 6.

Loraine’s boys’ team didn’t fare as well, losing to a state-ranked Ira varsity team 101-10. Toby Garza managed only 6 points against the tough defense, with Jordan Womack adding 3 and Mario Lopez scoring a free throw for 1 point.
