Wolves win big over Coahoma

The Wolves were hoping to improve their district record to 4-2 when they took on their long time district foe Coahoma Tuesday evening at The Pit and they did not disappoint their fans.  The Wolves jumped out to an early lead and led after the end of the 1st period 10-2. 

During the 2nd period, Coahoma outscored the Wolves 17-14, but the Wolves still took a 24-19 lead into halftime.  After a low scoring 3rd period by both teams, the Wolves still led 34-26 going into the final period. 

Coahoma pulled to within 3 points during the 4th period, but the Wolves were able to hold on for a 44-35 victory to go to 4-2 in district play.

The Wolves will be at home on Friday February 8, when Ballinger comes to town.  Leading scorers for the Wolves in the Coahoma game were:
Nick Reyna 14 pts, 5 reb, 3 steals
Tyler Higgins 10 pts, 4 reb, 1 steal
Eli Ferrell 8 pts, 11 reb.
J.C. Johnson 6 pts, 3 reb, 1 steal
Tylor Lorenz 2 pts, 4 reb, 1 steal
Benny Jones 2 pts, 2 reb.
Blaze Alford 2 pts
